At 60 feet long, Megalodon was the largest shark that ever lived and a dominant marine predator. Sharks are at risk today, with recent population declines attributed to humans. Though Megalodon vanished 2 million years ago, its fascinating story inspires lessons for science and shark conservation.
PSC rediscovered the Megalodon, its history and the plight of today's sharks. We began our discovery by walking into the mouth of a Megalodon Shark. The NC Museum of Natural Sciences sponsored an exhibit of the Megalodon Shark which included prehistoric and modern day sharks. As part of our on going effort to have fun, we booked a group tour of the exhibit on Sunday, March 14th. Afterwards we stopped to eat at Buffalo Wild Wings in Knightdale on the way back to Rocky Mount. We always find a way to include food with our fun!
